New sprite animation- i really dont like it

Sorry if this has been discussed but I couldn't find it in the search feature. I haven't played in a while and when I updated the to the new patch the character animations are just horrible. Too cartoonish. For me, I can't even play the game with the way it looks. Is there any way to get back to the older more crisp sprite animations/appearance? I played BG when it first came and I LIKED that look, not this new one. Sorry for being the fuddy duddy, but I really can't stand the new appearance.

    There are two options to my knowledge. One is you can turn off the sprite outlines in the options menu. If you still don't like it and if you're using steam you can go back to the 1.3 version but you won't be able to use SoD.
