Problems with importing from SOD to SoA

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Hi. I transferred my final save from SOD to my bg2 folder and it shows up under load game, yet I still can't import my main char from that save when creating a new char. Anyone know what to do?

    Afaik, you don't need to copy your SoD saves over into the BG2 save folder. The BG2 "Import Game" option should detect all saves from the original SoD save folder.

    well that button shows nothing at all when i try and push it. It just says like theres no saves
