Haven't played BG: II EE in a little over a year

Picking up from my last game, I had to download a new patch.

It looks like the UI was changed quite a bit.

Has there been any changes to the original game's dialogue or content? Has that been left alone?

    You can check out the release notes master document to see exactly what has changed since BG2:EE version 1.3. There's a new class (Shaman), a new kit (Priest of Tyr), and a few items have been added from Siege of Dragonspear. No major dialogue changes.

    As a rule of thumb, the EE's cannot/will not majorly alter the original game's content to a large degree. You can also disable the new UI and other assorted GUI features in the options menu if you don't like them (and/or mod in the original UI)
