I killed Dynaheir while Edwin was dead...

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I killed Dynaheir while Edwin was dead... I reanimated him, but the quest is still active. Is there a way to "inform" Edwin that Dynaheir is dead so that I can complete the quest?

PS: I have no previous savegame.

    Try force-talking him - as in, use the Talk action (first one) and click on him and see if he says anything.

    That worked!

    I thought the character would react automatilcally to the situation!

    Glad it worked :) Sometimes it's supposed to happen but just doesn't - dying can especially mess scripts up.

    Why would Edwin have knowledge of events that transpired while he was dead? Seems perfectly logical that you'd have to tell him Dynaheir was taken care of. I'm surprised he didn't ask for proof ;-)

    I have the opposite problem - I saved Dynaheir but I don’t get the witch saviour achievement it seems because I never let Minsc join the party...
