Help BG2 EE - Why can I not enter Qilue's house in the Drow city

I do not seem to be able to enter Qilue's house in the Drow city. I am trying to retrieve her brain for the creature in the tank, however their is no icon showing to be able to enter her house when I click on the door way the icon appears but I am still unable to enter. The guard on the door says she Qilue has no time for you now. Any help would be appreciated.

    It always works for me, so it's not a general bug.

    What you describe is how it's meant to be when you haven't yet been given the quest by the Aboleth. When you received the quest, Qilue's guard should have disappeared and you should have become able to enter. So it looks like you've hit a glitch, in which these changes somehow failed to trigger.

    As a possible workaround, I suggest re-loading to a save before first speaking to the Aboleth, and see if it works when you try the conversation again.
