Aerie-Haer'Dailis romance question

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I've always wondered whether Aerie and Haer'Dalis enter into a romance even if the PC is *not* romancing Aerie. (I never have Aerie in my party, but I would consider it for a future run if there are some amusing dialogues between the two).
Does anyone here know?

    From what I remember, yes, having A+H in the party will spark a romance between them even if you aren't romancing Aerie.

    Yes, they do, but they break up anyway.
