  Only weapons that have the "Silver" flag will hurt him. The only weapons that will hurt him (at least of those that you can acquire in the original BGEE campaign) are Kondor +1 (bastard sword), Werebane +1 (dagger), the Sword of Balduran (bastard sword), and the Burning Earth +1 (long sword). Some spell weapons will also hurt him (like Slay Living, Harm, Shocking Grasp, Cause Serious/Critical Wounds.
  
  But yea, just being a +3 weapon won't be enough.
