Installation messed up dialog.tlk. (I use SCS)

I'm using SCS for BGEE, and recently installed the SoD Expansion for the game. Now the dialog is completely messed up, nearly nothing is showing correctly. How do I resolve this matter? Reinstalling SCS did not work for me, and searching for the matter has given me nothing of interest.

You have to use modmerge if you have SoD.

To be more precise: if you have SoD on Steam or Gog, you need to use modmerge before installing mods. If you have SoD through the Beamdog Client something else is going on.

So, I run the mod emerger and then I reinstall SCS? Will that work?

That should work, unless there is something off with SCS itself. But a garbled dialog.tlk is usually due to not using Modmerge on Steam/GoG SoD-installs.

Thanks once again @Doubledimas and @TheGraveDigger, this seems to have resolved my problem.

EDIT: Is this supposed to disable SoD? Because now I can't play that.

EDIT 2: Got SoD back, but now I get a lot of invalid STRING. Reinstalled SCS but no difference

Ok, that's odd. Just to check: what OS and platform are you playing on? And are you installing SoD on the retail BG:EE or the 2.5 beta? Because I think it will give some issues if you try the latter as SoD is now misaligned in versions (v2.3 for SoD vs v2.5 for BG:EE beta).

I did a clean install of Baldur's Gate EE, installed Mod merge and installed SCS through BWS. It seems to work fine now.

I was installing on retail Baldurs gate EE, on Windows 10. The mod and SoD messed up the strings.

Installation messed up dialog.tlk. (I use SCS)
