I downloaded a file recommended by @ALIEN but no matter into what directory I unpack the file, I get the same error message - file has to be in the game directory.
If you used the link from BWS you might have unpacked the archive into a separate folder. It's automatically removed by BWS, but you have to do it manually if you install outside of BWS.
Try these steps instead: 1. Download the top-most zip archive listed there: https://github.com/Argent77/A7-SkipChateauIrenicus/releases/latest 2. Unpack the zip file directly into the game's installation directory (where you can find the file chitin.key). Afterwards you should see a folder "SkipChateauIrenicus" and a file "setup-SkipChateauIrenicus.exe" along with the game files chitin.key, the game executable (e.g. Baldur.exe) and several other files and folders from the game. 3. Execute "setup-SkipChateauIrenicus.exe" and follow the instructions.
