  That already works in 1.69. If you open a merchant, then open the henchman inventory using the radial menu, you can drag items between all three inventories.

  That is unless the item is set as non transferable.

  There is also a Ghost in the bottle (Volkarion ??) that can be summoned by rubbing on a mystical lamp. You can use the dialog from the campaign to open a store. This store can ba assigned to anything even a lamp post or a donkey, but if you need to change the items to be sold by the store, you have to modify store's inventory. I think you better modify your henchmen to open a store by editing the henchman dialog. So if the module that you are playing does not support dialog/store, this may not work even if you manage to bring a mystical lamp with you. But maybe this help.
