Stuck in the Black Pits

I find myself unable to proceed during the rebellion. I get to the animal pens and the door to the training room won't open. I've talked to all the NPCs, and searched all the bodies and no good. There aren't any walkthroughs for this so I dont know if its a bug or I'm missing something. Reloaded 3 times, other glitches occurred on previous plays; short order cook dialogue kept popping up so I had to kill him to make it stop, also the first time it didn't update my journal that the rebellion had started, Thayans walking through walks and getting stuck in the animals pens, but these seemed to have resolved. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

    I used a Knock spell to get past the door.
    If you don't have one ready, the cheat code is: C:CreateItem("scrl91",1)

    I solved it by rushing into the room before the captain could shut the door, paws of the cheetah worked out. Thanks for your help though.
