Help I'mmmmm sooooooo slllloooww

Downloaded BGEE last night but when trying to run the game it is all very slow. I'm not a computer person although i can use the programs i am not into the programing side.

Can anyone help me get the game up to speed, with some simple instructions for wrinklies.

All assistance greatly appreciated.
