Dear technical support,

When i'm playing BBEE (local) with spanish subtitles, my team members (Imoen, etc) does not talk. I can't hear any sound from NPC members (no voices).
I decided stop playing BBEE for now. It's very uncomfortable no hear any sound... unplayable.
I read forums, and this problem is for all non english gamers.

Best regards

Another one with the same issue. And it is not just a matter of ambient; with no NPC voices, it's much harder to detect when you've been hit, or when a character needs to rest... In other words, we have an added gameplay difficulty due to the lack of voices. That said, I think that asking for a patch is quite reasonable, isn't it?

Just to confirm this issue, I cannot hear english voices with spanish text. Nevertheless I am disappointed because I cannot hear voices in spanish. No necessary spanish voices to new characters but we played and loved this game with voices in our language. This is betrayal ;)

I am experiencing the same issue when the game is set to german. Only main character can be heard saying anything, everything else is just written in chat, but without sound (no wintrop, no Gorion ambush talk, no prologue, no companion sounds).

I messed around with files in the Lang directory for a bit and there seems to be a problem with dialogF.tlk files having wrong links to sound files.

The best I could do was to get half-german game by moving the Sound and Data directories from en_US to my language directory (in my case de_DE) and overwriting the german dialogF.tlk file with the en-US dialog.tlk file. The result being game with mostly german menus, but dialogues in english and with sound.

There currently do not seem to be any sound files for other languages (no sound or data folders), so getting english voiceovers is probably the best we can hope for, still beats the mute game though.
