    Why would you play the gog version at all?

    BGEE allows you to import to BG2.

    To clarify: That's not an advertised feature, and not guaranteed to work perfectly. Several people have tried it and it worked for all of them, but if importing into vBG2 causes problems, just remember that it's not because there's a bug in BG:EE or in vBG2, but rather because they're not guaranteed to be compatible.
