Main character Good, rest of party Evil, Problem?

I wanted to make an evil party, but I also wanted my main character to be an archer. So, I made my main character an Good alignment Archer (since I'm not allowed to be an evil archer...).
I've seen in the past that evil characters in the same party as good characters can lead to... fights. Will this be a problem for my main character? I tend to choose the more 'selfish jerk' responses in dialog and in practive. Since he is good and the rest of my party is evil, will they turn on me?

And it's not really a problem to maintain a steady ~10 reputation. Just kill some questgiver, whose quest you already have finished, or other ppl in their houses without turning the whole inn/town hostile against you
I think you can go as low as 4, <4 and you become a fallen ranger.
basicly dont go below 6 i think not 4. and evil people are fine till 17 they are nit pissed but won't leave 18 not to sure maybe still ok but over 18 and they will leave you at some point.
I have vicona and edwin in my group and whenever i get a point more they say something like "this group is so idotic"
Played BG2 also at least one time with a mixed party and maintained ~10 rep and never had any trouble.

Yeah, just keep your rep lower then 18, 16-14 is fine (and you'll get a little bit of a shop discount as well), and you won't have any problems, other then occasional grumblings.
A fallen paladin/ranger is a fighter that can only ** in weapons, and levels up a bit slower...but you keep any restrictions your kit may have had, so you couldn't specialize in melee or wear armors bigger then studded leather as an archer. You keep any profs you've already spent of course, but you lose everything else.
Especially for Rangers and Paladins, you don't want to accidentally get a -8 or -7 when your rep isn't high enough and become fallen.
