I haven't done the durlag's tower but just killed Sarevok. Can I keep on and export my character later on?

When I killed him the ending cutscene played and the game ended, but they conveniently created a save game of the point where he was dead so you can keep playing after that point. Just don't expect a lot of NPCs to make sense, the savegame is little more than fan service...

not just fan service if you can import that save game to BG2EE and continue story

um is it just me or did anyone get to play after the final save when you killed Sarevok? it just goes to the main menu. Anyways Dorn didnt finish his whole story either which is weird

I'm pretty sure the Final Save that's automatically created puts you BEFORE the battle with Sarevok. There's no continuing game play after he's dead.

To import into BG2 a character with the XP from that battle, you should look for the automatically exported character file.

Try using the MoveToArea cheat to get away from your final save and go to Durlag's Tower or wherever else you want to continue the game. I don't have the Enhanced Edition yet, but I just tested this idea in Tutu and it works. My final save is immediately after Sarevok's death, but the game doesn't let me leave the room without cheats. The menus on the bottom and sides of the screen don't show up though, so the whole game looks like a cut scene. They showed up when I paused the game, which is how I could access my inventory, spells, etc.

Make sure that your whole party is selected when you use the MoveToArea cheat because only the people you have selected will be teleported to the other level. Once you're in the other level you can travel normally between levels and can also interact with other characters the same as you normally could. At least you can in Tutu.

This forum needs a "report post" button - that is one HELL of a spoiler in the thread title.

You kidding? That should be common knowledge around here.

It's a huge late arrival spoiler- anyone who played through the series before would know it, but there are many players new to the series with BG:EE who don't. It probably should be hidden better.

Haven't used Dorn, but both Neera and Rasaad's story weren't really conclusive, I think it was intentional, they probably pick up again in what will hopefully be a BG2:EE.

I edited the title, OP is still clear even if the title doesn't mention Sarevok's name.

Seriously though. You learn he is the bad guy within the first half hour. Shouldn't it be obvious to anyone that doesn't wear a helmet while eating that he is the guy we kill?

I'm still failing to see how its a spoiler

Although you see him at the very beginning, you don't learn his name until much later. Giving other folks a chance to experience every little surprise just like you did is only common courtesy.
