So, BG2EE release date?

Earlier this year I was under the impression both 1 and 2 were being released at the same time, but sadly I see I was mistaken. Does anyone know how long until number 2 comes out?
I was, however, pleasantly surprised that the classes were modified as though we were already playing the sequel.

“The instant Baldur’s Gate is completed most of our team is ready to start work on [it], with a couple holding back to continue to add features and support the fans,” he said. “We’re planning on shipping [it] in 2013, hopefully before the end of summer.

So about a year.
Alright thanks guys! A year's not so bad.
I call 2014 xP
However, BGEE got delayed by several months.
And BG2EE will require a good deal more additional content.
And ther're working on patches for BGEE.
And they were planning BG1.5 style DLC for BGEE.
And then they have to get the iOS version of BGEE stable and released.
So I'd say we're looking at 2014. If we're lucky.
BG2 is one of the greatest games ever made, so they should take all the time they need to make sure their added content provides, well, more content than the stuff in BGEE. Here, sub-BG2 NPCs & quests worked because BG1 didn't have much in the way of characterization or side-quests. But in BG2, BGEE's level of additional content wouldn't cut it. It would be too little content over too quickly for most people to even notice in the wake of BG2's already massive amount of material.
Honestly, I wouldn't even think of expecting BG2:EE before next winter or possibly spring of 2014. If BG:EE really takes off and sells well then they could add more developers to help hurry along the next game.
Moving it to General (and then merging it with the existing threads on the same subject, if I can find them.)
EDIT: It's wayyyy back there (not in the first four pages), so I'll leave this thread where it is. If someone does find it, post the link and I'll merge them.
I think I remember someone mentioning that the code rewrite for BG1:EE was a big part of the work, but since that covers BG2 as well, it's one less item on the workload. That being said, BG2 and ToB (which will be released together afaik) are quite large, and very detailed. Going over every last bit of it will take time, and smoothing out the kinks even more. And that's not even going into stuff like new NPCs (which have to be voiced etc...) and new content...
We've waited 15 years for this. What are a few more months? And it sure would suck big time if they rushed the release and it was unplayable and broken on release, wouldn't it? Rather wait that extra month, as painful as it is.
