how to increase fps?

Title pretty much says it all... I've read in the new patch that there is "added support for maximum frame rate"... So how can we change it?

    Via editing the baldur.ini file.

    Change 'Maximum Frame Rate', '30' to whichever value you would like. I would think the cap is somewhere near 60, but I can't say for sure. I'm really glad that this finally works, I couldn't be happier. Thanks so much for the prompt fix Overhaul, this was the one thing that I couldn't stand, and now I'm loving it.

    Just a dumb question - didn't I see a max speed of 40 FPS for BG:EE? We're trying to make it optimized for an intel laptop.

    I've been running it on 45 for a while and even tried it at 60 and it seemed to work fine...

    60fps...this is AD&D not ADHD, kids. But if you can handle it, more power to you.

    I play on 38 fps. It's faster than normal, but still doesn't look like Benny Hill show.

    As I said, 60 was just a try... But it was indeed way too fast to enjoy the game (basically double everything). I find 45 to be the more efficient fps to play on (it does not take 10 minutes to walk accross a map, but it's still slow enough for you to enjoy the game ;)

    As someone with ADHD I can say that playing the game at 60 fps it way more enjoyable for me - I started today and won't go back until I finish and start BG2.

    Apparently 90 FPS will also work and make the game faster. :):)
