Thoughts on Multiplayer

So, a buddy & I played some multiplayer over the weekend. At first it was frustrating due to the connectivity issues but Hamachi quickly solved that issue. Shortly after starting though we incountered the perma-pause sleep bug, but a quick reply on the forum thwarted that villiam too. There was also an issue that would occur every now and then that would cause the non-host player to crash, but it only happened about once a hour if that.
However, when all was working perfectly it was a FANTASTIC experience. Neither of us ever modded the old BG (excluding the walk speed patch) so there was plently of new experiences. I had control over the melee group while he had the ranged group. Pausing was kept to a minimium, with the only auto pause being when an enemy is sited. I also dug that the inventory did not pause the game when somebody was in it (unlike single player). The only downside I saw was that only 1 person could buy/sell at a time, but that was remedied by one person tossing all the gear to the other while they sell.
We didn't make it too far, but we too our time with each map trying to remember all the little hidden goodies on each of the beginning maps. In the end we made it through the mines and saved after we exited.
We discussed the game play the next day and felt it worked great with 2 people and was curious as to how effective it is with more. We could see 3 people working out perfectly but felt more than that could be troublesome until the game is patched to rule out some of the errors.
To those who have played the multiplayer how was your experience? How many people did you play with? Do you feel that your party would have been better served with more players or less players? Did you encounter any bugs that frustrated you to no end or were you like me and only had a few bugs?

On the bug side of things we got the non connecting bug which was fixed by port forwarding. Also the sleep bug when trying to rest at an inn, however we just avoid sleeping at inns completely not knowing if a fix even exists. We've had to restart the game a few times because of my bad save timing.
Overall it's completely fine, although im not exactly sure if the enhanced edition made the multiplayer any different. It will be interesting to see how the matchmaking works in the future.

The port fowarding didn't seem to work for us sadly. We had that prepped prior to starting. But like I said, we already had Hamachi installed for other games so that was a quick fix.
I didn't know that they were implamenting match making. I am not sure how well that would work out and will probably stay away from it and stick with finding groups on a forum when it does arrive.
