Swashbuckler bonus THACO / Damage not beeing applied to longswords.

Bug :
I create a level 1 Swashbuckler, with 1 star in longswords and 10 STR/DEX/CON/INT/WIS/CHA.
Attacking with a longsword, I should have a THACO of 19, and deal 1d8 damage +1.
When testing, I dealt 1d8 damage (I dealt 1 damage, and never more than 8 damage), and my displayed THACO was 20.

Expected behaviour :
The bonus should apply to longswords too (Rogue weapon)

Aw, damn, wrong forum. Was meant to go to Bugs > BG:EE
Edit.: Good, could fix that myself :)

The Swashbuckler bonus to Hit/DamageAC comes at level 5, 10, 15, etc. You don't start with a bonus there. Only AC starts with a +1 bonus at level 1.

    Ah. That would explain then.
    But there's still a bug.
A Swashbuckler level 5, with a longsword is dealing 2-7 damage, where he should be dealing 2-9.
And I'm not talking about the info displayed (Info displayed is 1-8, where it should be 2-9)

It's easy to test : Create 2 characters, 1 swashbuckler and 1 fighter, with average starts (10 to all stats)
Level both (Swash to 5, fighter to whatever)

Give potions of regeneration to the fighter, and oil of speed to the thief. Check the damage.
The thief will never deal more than 7 damage with a longsword.

Ran the same test with a dagger.
@Level 5, I was doing 2-4 damage with the dagger. Never less than 2, never more than 4. (Except on crits, of course.)

There's definately something fishy with the swashbuckler bonus damage.

Sounds like it is a luck bonus, not a damage bonus then?

Nah, I guess it's a damage rounding due to the fact that I was hitting another of my characters (not a NPC), and so dealing 75% of my damage.

    If you deal 2 damage, he'll round to 2 (2x75% = 1.5 = 2)
    If you deal 9 damage, he'll round to 7 (9x75% = 6.75 = 7)

    Not an issue :)
