Selection-box and selection-circles gone

When you do the click and drag thing with your mouse, no green selection box shows up (was green in BG1 anyway), and my party members doesnt have green selection circles around them, nor does enemies have red, or blue neutral, etc...

anyone else experiencing this problem? if so, how did you deal with it?

The circles might be your feedback level. The selection box should be appearing. If you tab highlight, do the highlights on doors and containers show up?

Your Feedback Levels control when you see these circles and other information, as Coriander stated. By default, they should be set so you always see your party members' circles, but other NPCs circles won't be seen until you hover your cursor over them or pause the game (I think that's how it works).

Somehow, there's a possibility that your settings got changed. Check Options/Gameplay/Feedback to set your "Marker Feedback" how you want. (If that doesn't work, then you've found a problem).

coriander: the tab highlight thing does infact work for items and doors and those things...

have the same thing no markers at all, no fow, no selection boxes, location clicked/travelling to markers. tab only works some of the time but does not variate if it works in one area. green arrows on side of scree work fine.

we have the exact same problem then.. i forgot to mention that, when you click on the map location i dont get up any green box showing where my current screen is at

Hmm... That definitely sounds like a problem.

I don't know if this will help either of you, but you can try it. Go to your Grapics Options. If the "Hardware Mouse Cursor" is selected, deselect it. If it's deselected, select it. Then enter your game and see what happens. If this doesn't resolve the issue you can always return your Graphics settings to the way you had them before.

first of all, that did not work, perusoe. but yesterday i was playing, then i quit the game and turned it back on i think 5minutes later, and then everything was there as it should... i saw where my party was going, they had circles around them, the selectionbox was there.. the next day, its back to what it was like before that. i try to recreate what i did when it worked but i cant seem to fix it. very weird

I have the exact same problem. Ive tried all of the above. Everything was working fine when I played on my stationary computer. I had to go on a few days travel and wanned to bring my savegames.
So I moved my savegames to my laptop and installed BG EE.
As Ive said before I tried all of the above. Including reinstalling the game. Still the same problem.
