Is Baldur's Gate EE compatible with non enhanced old Baldurs Gate2?

Just wondering if I finish the EE will I be able to import to old BG2?

Or will I have to recreate my main character for bg2?

Just to clarify; I wnat to know if BGEE imports into OLD, non enhanced BG2.

    Yes (with provisions).

    Basically, if it works for you, then great. It's not guaranteed to be compatible, though; if something gets messed up in the process, it's not because of a bug; it's because something between the two just doesn't match up.

    That said, a number of people have tried it and haven't had any problems.

    Thanks. My concern is having to wait for GB2 EE.

    I know when I finish bg1ee I will want to keep playing right away :)
