Ranger/Clerics still have access to all divine magic?

I'm wondering if the Ranger/Cleric multiclass or dualclass retains the access to all Cleric and Druid spells in EE or has that changed?

I've heard rumours over the past decade that the class combination was never supposed to have as many Druid spells as it does.

    I do not know if it was fixed or not.

    But as per AD&D rules you should only gain druid spells for your ranger levels, so you will only gain cleric spells for your cleric levels.

    Well, someone can easily find out the answer by creating a ranger/cleric class. Since ranger gets druid spell starting at lv8, the ranger/cleric should not start out with any druid spells.

    I wonder if it was the original developers' intention to give all Druid spells to the Ranger/Cleric or if it was a mistake they never rectified to be in line with the AD&D rules. In a way I don't want it to be changed since it makes the class very interesting, almost like a Fighter/Druid/Cleric multiclass. But just inquiring about this for a comment I left in another thread.

    it was not fixed, ranger/clerics can still cast entangle at level 1 (Im not 100% sure whats just clerics or just druids, but i know just clerics do not get entangle)

    @LordsDarkKnight185 Interesting that it is still unchanged in the game. Good to know.

    I'm fine with ranger/cleric the way it is. A human ranger dual to a cleric is more powerful than a regular cleric through.

    @bbear

    Dual is more powerful than anything.

    @Quartz: Not always. The combination of dual fighter/druid is inherently difficult to play with. Also, dual class only shrines when they get the previous class back.

    I think I'm with @bbear on this one. IMO, multiclasses trump dual in BG1 and in ToB, but suffer in SoA. The arguable exception is mages. The ability to draw from two pools of HLAs in ToB is amazing. Leveling becomes a linear progression, so the slower leveling of multiclasses is mitigated. Spellcasting levels cap out at 20, and a 2 class multi can still access the highest level spells.

    At the other end of the spectrum, BG1, multimages still get 4th level spells and fighters still hit level 7 for the bonus half attack. Druids miss out on their level 5 spell, but clerics still hit 4.
