choppy play

Team - I have an HP with windows 7 64 bit, Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset video card, Realtek high def audio, intel core 2 quad CPU.

Cut scenes seem to have a really slow frame rate (am I saying that right?) and very choppy. When I picked up Neera, her color spray spell took forever to leave her hands and dissipate. Along with that the music is choppy as well. I have gone through my device mgr and all drivers seem up to date. Thoughts? No wrong answer.
