Baldur's Gate EE ending...?

I'm wondering if the ending of the game is bugged or not. I killed Serevok and all that happened was a save file was made "Final Save" and then nothing. I just got the startup screen, no movie or any conclusion. I go to "load game" and select the Final Save and I start where Serevok is dead and then 3 seconds later I'm kicked back to the startup screen where I can choose a New Game, Load Game and Options and all that stuff.
Is this the new ending in the EE? has this happened to anyone else?

    According to a lot of people on this forum, they don't care for cinematics as it's only a miniscule portion of the 100 hours of gameplay.

    it's just weird, the game just stopped all of the sudden. No text or nothing. I guess I'm just used to some sort of ending to a game...

    There is an ending movie. IIRC, there have been quite a few reports on it being bugged. I suppose it'll be fixed in the coming days.

    Obviously nobody played it through to the end before the game was released.

    That's the answer I was looking for... I'll be checking now and then for an update and a fix. Thx! :)

    Mine said the same (final slot save with exports) but then it just crashed! On both playthroughs. Also no actual export or save. This was on multiplayer though, maybe thats why.

    It worked fine on mine. Sarevok died, I got a notice that a final save was created, then the ending played.

    the final ending movie is in \00766\movies\endmovie.wbm
    you can watch it urself, using media player...it's a bug for not showing in the end
