I had this happen to him to, lol. I thought it was the stone Idol that I have robbed from a forgotten gods tomb. So I cast it into a lake near the Friendly Arm Inn.

I actually decided not to touch the idol, but maybe just opening the box to look at it is bad enough?
hmmm. It is tempting anyway to kick him and the druid out in exchange for the cleric that was turned to stone and the monk, but having a druid traveling with my Gnome just feels right.
U can kick him but not jaheira if u want. Send him solo into a building then reform your group and kick him. He will try to approach u to initiate dialogue and gather his wife but will be unable to since he doesnt change areas.
Edit: this works for any paired companions (minsc and dynaheir for instance.
