Scroll of Protection of Magic Duration; bug?

Seems like the scroll lasts longer than 10 turns. Just cast it on the Ice Island and went on a solo rampage killing all the mage prisoners and it's still up after 4 battles! Is this a bug or considered normal? Seems like 10 turns isn't that long.

    10 turns = 100 rounds = 600 seconds = 10 minutes

    Thanks for clearing that up. Actually, this has given me a new perspective on everything in the game because I didn't know how long a turn actually was.
