Special abilities information?

Is there any way to find out what each special ability icon is for each character? For instance, with my Ranger I have what looks like a little eye but it took me tapping on it and then myself to figure out it was "tame animal". I tried the "hold down for half a second" trick but it does nothing, neither does the hint button.

Tool tips don't seem to work for me. I am now looking for online documentation. Would be annoying to need documentation though when playing on the train on the way to work.

Select the Ranger or other character with a special ability.
Click the icon for the special abilities (a sort of star icon...).
When the icon(s) for the abilities is shown, click the "help" icon on the left and navigate to the right, and there's the name of the abilities.

It would have been smarter if they'd used the hint button for this...

This can be used for spells in the quick slot also.

I figured out that the help button is context sensitive earlier today. Does a decent job i suppose, though it interrupts the flow a bit.
