The Chesley Crusher

Although I am holding that awesome halberd, my number of attacks per round is 2.
I should only have 1 attack, as the description tells.

Sorry to all Chesley Crusher users :D.

Yeah a +6 weapon in BG should only be 1 APR for balance reasons :)

Oh, hmm could you help me a bit with filling this form, you may check more than one.

Where do you see the 2 APR?

    1 - the character record
    2 - the animations
3 - actually rolling twice, with a chance of 2 hits per round

Too bad they didn't call it the "Wesley" crusher.

Magister, out of curiosity, are you using the boots of speed you got from the fight outside the Cloakwood Mines? If so, try removing them and see if you still have 2 attacks.

    Even without boots.

Currently, the Chesley Crusher's ability to set the number of attacks to 1 does not function. It attacks regularly, like any other weapon would. There is nothing wrong in HALB13.ITM, as far as I can see, so the issue is probably on a 'deeper' level.

Is it desired behaviour, that I got that halberd from the gnoll "Ingot" south of Nashkell? Ingot attacked without talking to me, this seems weird.
If it is desired behaviour, this area is a bad place for this halberd in my opinion. There is a cave in the same area (AR5200), where you can find a halberd +1. This halberd becomes needless.

Too bad they didn't call it the "Wesley" crusher.

The "Wesley Crusher" would most definitely be a cursed weapon. It would immediately set the unfortunate users' CHA to 3 and magically alter their appearance to Wesley's, causing all enemies to direct their attacks at the user's face.

Does Chesley Crusher get 2 attacks with haste or offensive spin? Or does it just hard set you to 1 no matter what?

It's the new +2 Halberd found on Ingot (gnoll, location with the dead cat waterfall, south-west of Nashkel). When I found it it was already identified (not blue), unlike any other magical item in the game; also, its description say it sets number of attacks to 1, but Kivan still has 3/2 with it.

Also, in the same location, there are two lumberjacks that want to cut down driad's tree; one of them (Krumm) drops +1 club that is really easy to miss, as its also already identified (not blue) and looks exactly like a normal club.

    Currently:
It states "Equipped abilities. Sets attacks per round to 1"
When I equipped it on my Paladin, the character sheet reports me as having 2 attacks per round.
    Something isn't right.

    Should be:
Either fix the reporting in the character sheet of how many attacks per round you actually have or, actually set the attacks per round to 1.

Unless I'm missing and there's something else modifying attacks per round? I figured this equipped condition was absolute however.

I think I got it. Should be ok for apr setting.
  • CorianderCoriander Member Posts: 1,667
@SethDavis You fixed the class/proficiency apr override issue?
  • SethDavisSethDavis Member Posts: 1,812
@Coriander - If I understand what you're asking then yes, if there is an active set effect to the apr other areas that would change it do not.
