Trouble with Tenya (spoilers)

Up north when the fishermen ask you to kill Tenya, priestess of Umberlee. I remember being able to talk to her and find out the fishermen killed her mother and stole an artifact. All I've been able get with her is "Sorry to bother you, I'll leave" or combat.

    I may be remembering wrong, but it's possible if you don't kill her too quickly, she asks you to stop and then tells you the story of what happened.

    Talk to the Fishermen. Talk to Tenya. Fight Tenya. Don't kill her, might need to have your fighters sit it out if you're too awesome. Talk to her again. Go kil the fishermen. Return and talk to Tenya.

    And then kill Tenya as she's teleporting away for an extra 650 Exp.

    Yeah, and mess up the future quest at the Temple of Umberlee in Baldur's Gate, because you killed her and you can't call on her favor.

    What CaptRory said basically. You can't kill her too quickly, switch to fists if necessary. If you keep her alive, you'll find her again in Baldur's Gate, inside the temple of Umberlee, where she can help you reclaim a body for a quest (which you can get anyway by slaughtering the whole temple who goes hostile on you, as part of another quest, if memory serves).

    At which point you kill everyone in the temple for even more Exp, yes.

    I used to exploit this quest by doing it on level 1 (it's possible to skip the ankhegs by traveling north right next to the shore. Side with Tenya and then kill her as she's teleporting away like Pantalion said. Pretty cheap, but effective way to gain XP early on.

    Got it to work now. I guess I'm doing it later in the game then previously. She was dropping so quick she didn't try and talk to me again. Thanks for everyone who helped.

    Dorn is too good at killing tenya. Don't use dorn
