Serious interface issues making game unplayable on IPad; Don't buy until patched

Well I bought this today, and was really excited for it, until I actually played it. On IPad, the clicking is so inaccurate as to make combat unplayable. The illusion Gibberlings are unstoppable as they can't be targeted and I don't really see the point of moving past them. Tactical combat is not possible at this time. I cannot consistently make party members attack a target, cast on a target, or even move to a location (the pathing is somehow worse than original infinity engine games).
This is sad and disappointing. I won't be playing my copy until a patch is released, and I'll likely advise my friends to hold off purchases on IPad for now. I eagerly await this being fixed so I can enjoy the great RPG I just paid for.

But the game ought to give some sort of indication you've targeted something correct, even when the game is paused, which it doesn't do now.
The pathfinding is the same as the PC edition I think.
