When does the ambush by the dark soul monks take place in the docks area? (Rasaad quest)
If I got Dorn in my group how can I continue his quest and in what area may I go? (Dorn quest)
As I said above, it should trigger the first time you go to the Docks.
Regarding Dorn,
I think it's fairly easy to run right past one of his quest encounters. On the bridge area leading to Baldurs Gate, you have to go East from where Quayle is
I think many people just take a sharp left after the get off the bridge because they want to get into Baldurs Gate so bad, thus missing it completely.
Okay, I CLUA'd the Big-Fisted Belt in and booted Rasaad. God only knows when I'll actually be able to explore his area. I've always found that areas being attached to NPCs was moronic, part of what turned me off of BGII.

Read this thread, looks like you can save yourself with CLUA
@vagos13, @Quartz, anyone else having trouble getting Rasaad's encounter to trigger.
You need to have two different conversations with Rasaad before the ambush at the docks will happen. The second conversation is timed to occur 7 days after the first, so if you recruited him recently, that could be the problem.
I figured that would be the case, so I made sure to waste some time and I very distinctly recall having two conversations. Maybe there's a third or something. But I know I had the two. *Shrugs* Hardly the end of the world. Some day I'll actually want him in my party for the long haul and I probably won't have the same issue. I view it as an issue with my patience rather than with the game, because I *do* think it was something I hadn't done, or the fact that I had picked him up so late (Chapter 5) without progressing any, when the game expects you to pick him up in Chapter 2 and go all the way to Chapter 5 with him.
Well, not necessceraly when you first go to the mines. You may end up having to do a few area trnsitions first.
Also, and this is just a guess, but you may first have to have a brief dialogue w/ Dorn at the Friednly Arms in order to trigger the meeting where he is able to join your party.
I just had the Dorn meet-up around the mine area. It was a little buggy. The encounter happened, dialogued correcetly, (this is my 2nd time through) but then Dorns figure flickered and dissapered from the screen before everything was resolved. Odd.

Do you have to wait till after nashkel mines? And when you pick him up will he still be level 1 or will he level up with your PC?

Thanks anyway.
