MP Pause Delay

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I'm playing a multiplayer game solo with my own party. However I'm finding that there' a delay when I hit the space bar click on the clock to pause the game. The delay is usually a full second to two seconds before it'll actually pause, after mashing the space bar. I'm finding I can't play like this as in tough situations I need to pause instantly to react.
Is this a bug or intentional?

    IDK whether or not I'd call it a bug, but I can say it's 99% probably not intentional.

    I think it's been like that for the original Saga as well. So if it's a bug, it's not the doing of Overhaul. One work around is to use auto-pause. Look in the options section ingame

    It's always been like that. I think, but not sure, it activates faster if you mash space a second time, sort of a "safety" click. You could always just copy or move your save game over to the single-player save folder though.

    I didn't think to move the save file, Id forgotten you could do that. Thanks. I tried with auto pause but unfortunately it doesn't cover all the eventualities. Such as when an enemy spell caster is about to cast, I like to pause to move my characters away from one another to avoid a potential fireball or horror etc.

    I have the exact same problem in multiplayer. Wasn't like that in the vanilla game, of that I am sure.

    It feels kinda like the delay you get when pressing the mouse in BG, when changing portraits, for an example. If you move the mouse around whilst doing it, no delay. But if you keep it still there's a delay before the game registers the next click.
