Anyone else can't minimize the game using Alt+Tab or other Windows keys?

I posted a feature request for support for Alt+Tab and other Windows keys since for me they don't work. Others report better success. Does anyone else have a problem where the game will not minimize using Alt+Tab or Windows+D or anything else? Has anyone found a solution to get the the game to minimize properly?

Note: I am playing in full screen and don't want to play in a window since I can't set the resolution of the window. If I could set the window resolution to my desktop resolution, that would solve the problem as well I suppose.

Ok, I found a solution that works for me, sort of. Set the game to windowed mode and then edit baldur.ini and set window X and Y positions to 0 then set window W and H to your desktop resolution and you basically get a fullscreen window. The only problem this poses is that scrolling using the mouse causes issues because there's an area about one pixel wide that is recognized as the edge of the window without being registered as the taskbar (bottom) or your second monitor (side, if you have two monitors).

So if anyone else has this problem, here's a solution of sorts.

From what I can tell, the game does not run in traditional fullscreen mode, but instead runs in 'boarderless windowed' mode (at least the alt+tab behavior is the same as other games I play in boarderless windowed mode). The only way I can tell is I have two monitors hooked up to my computer and when I alt+tab out of BG:EE I am able to freely move my mouse out of the game window and over to my second monitor (although the game stays fullscreen on the primary monitor).

If you want to minimize the game, I find the easiest way is to alt+enter to windowed mode and then minimize, and when I want to play again alt+enter back to full screen. I don't see this as a problem since it is the same number of keystrokes as alt+tab.

    That's brilliant! I don't know why I didn't think of that! Thanks.
