Issue with the game connecting to saved games?

Heya, just got the game from beamdog for pc, and I keep getting this error where the saved game interface in game won't recognize the saved games in the folder for multiplayer in the black pits. Is this a known issue ( I did try typing "saved game issue" into the search engine and got a bajillion forum posts with the words "saved" and "game" in them. >.>) and are there any fixes for it? any help appreciated.
