Online portrait store rather then local?

I was thinking about a future feature for BGEE. A limitation of BG for me when I first played it was that most of the portraits were also used for NPCs as well. I wonder if having a larger database of them stored online for people to upload too would help people find a more personal character? The database would have to be integrated into the game so that it could be selected during the creation process.

Good idea? Bad idea? Stupid idea?!
