Roleplaying

Random question but what do you guys do to role-play in the game?
I thought of these ideas when trying to create a no reload, hardcore evil play through.
During this play through I am trying to role-play my character. I rolled a dwarf F/C CE with 3 cha and 3 int. So in most situations I think pay me: no hit don't pay me: Hit him. He doesn't care for anything except his own greed (He makes a great partner for Kagain.) It also fits with the theme that I am unaware of my Bhaalspawn powers so in most cases I am a simple fighter.
I am actually making use of the user create journal pages with updates on my progression. So far I am about 4 days in and have several entries ranging from NPC interactions to even deaths and combat.
Since I am no longer reloading I find it fun actually since now I have to run back to town to raise my companions. It has led to an interesting scenario in the Nashkel's mines. I was in a odd spot because I was really close to finishing the mines but my mage was dead. I love the challenge of actually knowing my group can get *%*% up really badly if i make a wrong move.
I try to limit my rests to as little as possible, dungeons I'll allow 1 rest like DDO online shrines. When not in dungeons I will only sleep at Inns.
