Thinking i should charge for my time in trying to troubleshoot this mess.

win7 64 nvidia 470 x2
game boots to a white box flashing the load screen.

Tried running Baldars.exe with every possible compatibility combo.
went into nvidia controlls and turned off all options for aa and every damn thing else.

Also there is no damn .ini it is not in my files and i have searched the entire computer.
(side note i cant get past the start screen)

If you have msi afterburner or evga precesion etc.....turn them off. Any program that moniters frames pers econd FPS or any other Graphic crad extension programs. I had a smiliar issue with a 660ti and the latest drivers from nividia. Thought it was the drivers as it worked with the old ones. i rolled back and same deal. So I started turning off programs one at a time. When I got to evga Precesion. It worked again. I installed the new beta 310.70 drivers and started playing once again!!!

This whole thing is unfriggin-believeable and I agree with you. This has been almost 2 weeks and I havent even been able to load the game. Ive been in active support for 4 days and all that is going on is the people that are playing are fine. Every patch that comes out helps those people but doenst fix the problems like it should.

The game crashes when it starts loading. I tried using it in compatability mode to no effect.

This is the message I got back from them-

    "Hello,

It looks like you have Intel HD Graphics, which are currently not working with Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition due to lack of OpenGL 2.0 support, a technology that Baldur's Gate uses. There is ongoing work that is actively improving this issue, but we can't promise that it will work for your specific chipset."

In order for me to get it to play I had to open the .exe file located under the 0076 folder under program files, a la "C:\Program Files (x86)\Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition\Data\00766"

Once that was open I was able to start a game just fine. However, I have to make sure every time I exit the game I exit in in "windowed" mode, otherwise it will not start again.

Should you close the game in full screen mode, you can always edit the .ini file under my documents. This file/directory isn't created until you've started the game successfully at least once.
