Elven Chain in BGEE?

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
So I heard there was an Elven Chain in BGEE? Somewhere in Dorn's quest and that it was bugged and we can't get it yet. Anyone knows if it's true or if it's been fixed?

    One of the character you kill when you can first recruit Dorn appers to were elven cain but it does not drop when she dies

    Bug. They said a long time back in the Reddit AMAA that they added Elven Chainmail into the game.

    You can also use Shadowkeeper to add it in, if you have that setup for BGEE. The elven chain is a god-send for Bards (who can't use robes) and evil fighter/mages (as you can't get the evil-aligned Robe of Archmagi until much later than the neutral and good ones). It can also be used by thief/mages, though there is a small penalty to some thieving skills (including pickpocket, I think, so bards and thieves might want to wear studded leather when pick pocketing in case it goes wrong....)

    Not to be that guy,

    but how does it take 20 days to flag an item from nodrop to drop?

    For those of us that want to run a bard and don't like using CLUA or Shadowkeeper.
