Help with dead party member.

Hey,
Like a noob I kicked Khalid when he died and replaced him with someone just before a big fight to save going back to town.
Now it seems as thought I can't recover him. MY current save is 20 something days in, and the last save I had with Khalid is 8 days. So reloading will cause me to lose a lot of progress.
I have respawned a Khalid using a console command; but I can't seem to get him to join my party, do any of you guys know of a way to do so? :p

    Ctrl-Q on the respawned khalid.

you need to ctrl-y him I think, since he only joins when you speak to jaheira.

    ctrl + q
Why would you want that worthless idiot though?

Ctrl-Q is the force group. I verified, it works.

I'm hitting Ctrl+q like a maniac, isn't doing anything. Am I doing it wrong? :p

Well, you spawned in khalid, so I assume cheats are still active. Place the cursor over khalid then press ctrl-q. that should do it

Hasn't done anything m'fraid. I tried it by kicking Jaheira, but nope.

I have enabled cheats by going to baldur.ini and typing in: 'Game Options', 'Cheats', '1',

Is this the correct way for BGEE?

Ah well, it should be debug mode, not cheats. I'm not sure if that would cause your problem, but you should try it.

    'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',

    copy paste that under options

To use control keys, you need to enter into the cheat window "CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys();" with no quotes.

    huzzah!
That has done the trick. That you very much!
I didn't know the new command line for cheats. So I had a look and the old one was Cheat = 1, I just changed the syntax a bit.
But it seems that the debug mode has done the trick.
Thanks very much, problem solved. Can go back to questing now. I'll suffer him as level 1 again for a while for my ignorance.

(If you are interested, I kicked him for Xav just before the Mulahey fight.)

You maybe not have cheat keys enabled. I suspect your baldur.ini lists
    'game options', 'cheats', '1',
    and not
    'program options', 'debug mode', '1',

Or what exact the exact code line is... Regardless! Open the console and enter the following line sans quotes: "CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys()", hit enter. then CTRL + Q will force add him to your party. There are a ton of other CTRL + combinations that are now enabled, I would review what they do before trying to play around mashing random combos on the keyboard lol. :)

edit:If you have debug mode enables, then the CTRL+ keys should already be enabled, if not, enter the console command.

Let us know if this solved it for you! :)

double edit: last time I open like 20 tabs when i come here hahaa -.-

Haha, Yeah all sorted now. Was a noob mistake, I thought I had a more recent backup save, but I'd been relying on too much quick save :p
