Avenger Kit - Basic Druid questions too

So, I want to have a completely seperate playthrough on each of my devices. Currently, on my desktop, I have a BA good hearted berzerker who is just flat out leveling enemies and am loving it.

Now, my wife wants me to put the game on my laptop to play in the living room so we can spend some time together. Who am I to say no to playing video games when my wife insists?

I have never done a druid, and the Avenger Kit looked very interesting to me. I know it is a bit OP for the original game but I am ok with that. I have beaten a few times when I was younger so looking more for enjoyment.

1. Is anyone actively playing this kit?
2. Is it enjoyable or do you find it way too OP?
3. What stats/race is are suggested for the avenger kit (planning on single class)?
4. With a neutral leader is it hard to keep both good & bad characters in the same group? I would think not but was always a G/N or N/E never G/E group make-up.

I can't offer any advice on the Avenger (since I've never played it) but for #4 alignment doesnt matter for keeping good/bad characters in the group. Just keeping your reputation from going too high or too low should matter. I almost always play good characters but I enjoy bringing the occasional evil character along (especially Viconia) for flavor. Never been an issue as long as I don't hit 19-20 rep.

That said there are a few characters that simply dont like each other.

A good/evil group can work as long as you avoid the volitile combinations, eg:
    Dorn/Ajants
    Khalid & Jaheira/Xzar & Monty
    Minsc & Dynaheir/ Edwin
    Kivan / Viconia
    Coran/Shar-teel(I think)

Does anyone know what level the Avenger Druid gets his special shapeshifting abilities?

@revaar I can't speak to Coran/Shar-teel, but I can say that Eldoth/Shar-teel ends with Eldoth lying in a pool of blood and regret.

Most likely the same level druids gain their normal shapeshifting abilities, lvl7 if I'm not mistaken.

    Eldoth and Shar Teel also.
She hates the way he treats his woman (Skie) and women generally.

Kagain/Yeslick might fight each other I guess (but never tried) - I have heard Yeslick voice files long time ago.

Kivan-Viconia never ends in combat & death, they just bicker.

I'm actually also interrested in the Avenger kit. Sort of a mage-type druid.
Is this doable/enjyable? Or is the only good druid a fighter/druid?

(I remember Cernd kind of sucked in BG2)

    Druids get shapeshift at 6.

The avenger is ok. They get a few more offensive spell options (web is especially nice, and Lightning bolt can be good if you practice aiming it, improved invisbility is nice since it prevents enemy spell casters from targeting you till the partial invis runs out, about 4 rounds, chain lightning is...a mixed bag...druids get a decent amount of good spells for 6th level, so you might not have room for it, and given how slow druids level it may take awhile before it can hit hard enough to justify a slot). Their sword spider form though is a BEAST...5 attacks per round, poisons, immune to web, decent stats and AC. Just cast web, go sword spider, and go kill enemies in the web. And once you get iron skins, you can just straight up melee enemies, as long as they don't require higher then +1 to hit.

The Avenger and totemic are both decent druids. The F/D is a bit more versatile, so yes, it's probably best overall, but the others hardly suck. Well..except the poor shapeshifter...overall a plain druid is better then they are.
