Removing Khalid from party

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
How can I remove Khalid from party (keeping Jaheira) not killing him? Is there a way?

    Negative. The same applies to Xzar/Montaron and Minsc/Dynaheir, and a another pair or two as well, I believe.

    Walk him into a building/area that doesn't require your entire party (ie, no "you must gather your party..."), and then remove him from your party. The second person in an NPC duo only leaves after the first NPC, the one you dismissed, comes and says his/her line about leaving. If they can't reach you to talk to you, the second NPC of the duo won't leave.

    The pairs are annoying. And I find Khalid annoying. Much as I hate getting gamey and not role-playing well; I usually just remove his armor and don't heal him. Even Kobolds will eventually kill a soft target...

    Khalid/Jaheira+Xzar/Montaron=Party of Awesome =) Other than that, boot Khalid and run away as fast as you can before he talks to you. Otherwise you lose Jaheira as well. Or, do what @Helias said. Technically it doesn't kill him...

    If he dies, you can safely remove him without Jaheira making a stink.

    If Jaheira dies, you can also safely remove him, but you'll have to raise her afterward if you want to keep her.

    Just wanted to quote this as it is the easiest way to go about it and the way I use.
