Unable to Mark Maps in Baldur's Gate city

Observed Behaviour: After using Map Markers throughout my run so far, I find I am unable to add markers to any of the maps inside Baldur's Gate city zones. Right-clicking does nothing.

Desired Behaviour: Allow me to place Map Markers in all areas of teh game, including Baldur's Gate city zones

    Well, i just added one.

    Does your right click work elsewhere in the game? Outside of the game?
    For a quick right click test: right click on an inventory item.

    You need to click on the compass in the top left to toggle map markers on.
