Can't turn off selection dialogue text

Whenever I select someone, it annoyingly shows up in the dialogue box. When I go to Options -> Gameplay -> Feedback, and try turning off the Selection Text option under Messages, nothing happens. I try turning it off and on and all combinations of things but nothing seems to work. Yes, I am hitting Done and not Cancel.

Help would be appreciated.
