Specifically L Portraits Question

I managed to get custom portraits working great with correct dimensions and such. But why is there 3 specific sizes when you only can select 2. Medium is for the character information sheet and small is used for the ingame roster. What is L used for?

    IIRC L is used for the Epilogue in BG2... so nothing at all at the moment.

    Ahhh of course. Well thats good to know. Glad I continued to make custom portraits S M L. Thanks for the quick response.

    L is used in character creation on the selecting screen of default portraits.

    If you have all three portraits for your character, on the Character Creation screen it shows the Large portrait on the right hand side.

    The M portrait is utilized on the Character screen once a new game has started, and of course the S portrait is used on the sidebar during the standard in-game view.
