Wrong cursor on edge of area

I couldn't find this anywhere here, though there were reports of disappearing cursors. My problem is that sometimes when I want to leave an area and switch to the world map screen, my cursor doesn't change into a wheel and doesn't allow me to leave the area. This usually applies to 2 or 3 edges, leaving me with no choice but to head over to the other end of an area in order to travel somewhere. Saving/loading doesn't help but leaving and reentering an area does.
