UI affect Zoom

WOW! I finally get the game to run for a decent amount of time and read how to turn off the UI scaling, only issue is that due to the shortsightedness of the dev teams it makes the text unreadable due to my native resolution.

Turning off the UI scaling makes it look crisper it also allows you to zoom out further. The UI scaling locks the zoom to 1280x720 resolution it seems. I thought there was supposed to be UI improvements with the latest patch. I cant see any. How long do I have to wait until we see a decent UI?

Allow the zoom function to be what ever your monitor can allow.
Make the UI/HUD customizable (like resizing windows and moving buttons)
Actually provide UI assets at different resolutions and not one "one size fits all" cop out that is forced on us.

That's exactly why the UI scales by default and that disabled scaling is a .ini hidden feature. It was put there because so many people whined for a Widescreen Mod "everything-is-as-tiny-as-my-monitor-allows" style, but it's definitely not going to please everyone.

Scaling seems to be some kind of more deeper issue. Not only it affects the UI, it affects the graphic itself.

After i and a friend revisited his Version of the EE now and came to the following conclusion after comparing Scaling with Scaling off, Vanilla BG, Vanilla BG with Widescreen Mod - the problem is only that the Scaling interacts also with the Mousewheel controlled Zoom.

"Maximum zoom" - when using that "UI scaling off function" makes things of course a bit smaller, not only the UI - Make a comparison in maximum zoom with and without UI Scaling.

Without UI Scaling the UI is much more sharp. But not only that, also the sprites and Backgrounds do look without Scaling much better. And a bit smaller.

The most easy solution would just be: Remove GUI Scaling/Fixed Scaling value which locks the amount of how much you can "zoom out" of the Game, Center the Screens which are glued now to the top of the screen because the GUI works partly not that good with Scaling off. Invent a zoom saving option and you enjoy a much better game in an instant.

Will be a bit smaller as with Scaling active.

But in combination with the zoom value which is added as standard when you load a saved game or start a new game, the Visuals are still larger as compared to Vanilla BG with widescreen Mod usage.

Tested Resolution where you really can view an instant sharpness effect increase is of course HD and even more with Full HD Resolution :)
