I seem to remember that if you go to the bandit camp with Kivan in the party, he would attack Tazok, but nothing happened this time. Do I remember wrong or was this changed?
I remember one play thru years ago I wanted tazok to appear as kivans "most powerful enemy killed" in the biograpghy so I pinned tazok in and killed him in the bandit camp with kivan as he tried to wander off lol! This didnt affect his later appearance so tazok has at least one extra life.
I thought Kivan only attacked Tazok in the BG Unfinished Business mod (or possibly BG1 NPC Project) and in the vanilla game had always completely ignored him?
In BG1 NPC project, Kivan does indeed attack Tazok at bandit camp and you can kill him there. (if you are fast enough) However a few minutes later, a bandit comes and says 'the big boss' has decided to raise Tazok from death or whatever.
And in BG2, with Kivan NPC mod, when you kill Tazok a third time, Kivan wants to cut out his heart and keep it in his person to prevent his ressurection again. My memory is fuzzy but maybe allowing him to do so changed his alignment? That is a rather morbid behaviour and defiling a corpse is not a good act.
But in original, is it true that nothing happens when Kiv meets Tazok at bandit camp? Haven't played the original for a while so I don't know. It makes me sad.
