Ideal parrty for a sorcerer Charname

Started a new game with a sorcerer today but can't decide who to bring along to have a well balanced party.

Right now I'm thinking about:
Imoen -> Main thief to take care of locks/traps, dual to mage later.
Garrick -> Ranged/magic support (not sure if another full mage is necessary at the start, later Imoen will take care of it, so Garrick seems like a good choice)
Ajantis -> Main tank
Branwen or Viconia? -> For main healer not sure who to take. I've never tried Yeslick but heard good things about him, but he only comes a bit later and I need someone untill then.
1 spot left -> Who to put here?

    Take Kivan, you can pick him very early and he's deadly at range + if need be, good in melee too with his high strength.
    If you're set on Ajantis you'll have to take Branwen, afaik he'll fight with Viconia before long.

    Didn't know Ajantis would fight Viconia, I never took him before with me. Branwen it is then.
    Kivan sounds good, I'll probably need some more melee at times. Thanks.

    As I just said here. Don't overlook the advantages of a sorcerer / mage combo in the party. Not as redundant as you might think.

    I agree with you there, I think sorcerer absolutely needs a mage but I think that early levels its not that essential. Low levels I'll have Garrick casting any spells my sorcerer is lacking, and later when I dual Imoen to a mage, I'll have another full mage in the party to help me out.
