Is Dorn related to this NPC? [possible spoilers]

In ToB, there is an NPC named Gromnir Il-Khan, an orc. You have to kill him in Sarradush as part of the plot. Is there any chance that Dorn and Gromnir are related, given their same last name?

If they are related, I am hoping for some EPIC dialogue...

Gromnir is a Bhaalspawn so I don't think he would be related to Dorn in any way other than he's Half-Orc

I wish there was a full sized NPC portrait for Gromnir, not just the small icon used in game :(

I can't be the first person to notice this though...I'm actually surprised no one else has brought this up.

Well, Gromnir can have children too right? Maybe Dorn is a bastard child of his?

There has been a thread discussing this matter, some were assuming Dorn might be a Bhaalspawn, too. You just weren't looking.
And Dorn's backstory reveals that he knows his father and mother, and Il-Khan is the clan name. So they are most likely from the same clan, so no hidden Bhaalspawn. And making him a Bhaalspawn would freak many people out, in a negative way.

Maybe Il-Khan is like Smith in Orcish.

Well just remember that Gromnir Il Khan is a real person. That is to say, the character was based on and named after a guy on the ancient Interplay message boards. It might be worth tracking him down and asking if he had a son.

Alternately, they could just both be from the Il Khan clan of orcs, maybe Gromnir got away when ogres raided their tribe in the spine of the world?

If they are both from the same clan of orcs, that's still being related in some way.
